Man stabbed wife 30 times leading to closure of I-275 in Tampa: U.S. Marshals
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — An attempt to serve a warrant led to the closure of I-275 in Tampa on Thursday, according to the U.S. Marshals Office.
On Thursday, law enforcement officials attempted to serve a warrant for a case involving Thomas Edward Sapp, 31, who is facing charges of homicide after he allegedly stabbed his wife 30 times.
On X , the platform formerly known as Twitter, FHP Tampa said traffic was being diverted into Bearss Avenue due to "law enforcement activity."
Northbound lanes of I-275 have since reopened, but no details on how the incident ended or the condition of the suspect have been made available.
