Man who allegedly kidnapped au pairs from Italy to be sentenced

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - An East Lansing man who pleaded no contest to binding and sexually assaulting multiple au pairs whom he enticed over the internet will learn his sentence on Monday.

In April, Arisknight Arkin-Everett Winfree pleaded no contest to kidnapping, coercing, and enticing someone to travel for the purposes of illegal sexual activity, attempted coercion and enticement, and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

The charges include kidnapping, coercing and enticing someone to travel for the purposes of illegal sexual activity, attempted coercion and enticement, and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

    A no contest plea is a defendant's admission that while they do not want to plead guilty, the prosecutor has sufficient evidence to convict them of the crimes.

    He also pleaded no contest to two counts of producing child pornography after coercing two underage girls to send him sexual images via social media. Winfree also recorded himself sexually assaulting one of the underage victims.

    Winfree faces a potential maximum sentence of life in prison.
