A charity named in honor of two boys killed in a hit-and-run in Westlake in 2020 will host its first charity event on Sunday, Oct. 20.

The Mark and Jacob Iskander Foundation will host the Mark and Jacob Foster Care Charity Event at the Westlake Yacht Club from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Money raised at the event will go to the Mark and Jacob Foster Care Ministry , which Nancy Iskander, the mother of Mark and Jacob, said supports foster youth in Ventura and Los Angeles counties.

"It's a place to recruit foster parents, [to] give them the training they need, the resources they need, supporting them, and matching them with a child that they can support age-wise and needs-wise in terms of the child," she told KNX News' Margaret Carrero. "We also do grants for youth graduating the system for them to be able to get a car. So a grant toward a car. We also do events for foster care for foster youth."

During Sunday's event, attendees will be able to bid on a variety of items up for auction , including an autographed Travis Kelce jersey, L.A. Kings tickets, and a chance to be "Captain for a Day" at an L.A. Sheriff's Department station.

"There's something for every age from a Chuck E. Cheese package to memorabilia to sports packages to vacation packages to pickleball classes," Iskander said.

There will also be a dunking contest in which attendees can dunk the sheriff who raises the least amount of money.

Julie Cohen, who serves as the chair of Mark and Jacob Foster Care Charity Event, said tickets are $150, but you can get a discount by using the code KINDNESS. Tickets will be until the day of the event.

Rebecca Grossman was found guilty in the boys' deaths on Feb. 24, 2024. In June, she was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.
