National Mark Cuban Issues Warning to Elon Musk About Donald Trump

Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban has issued a stark warning to X owner Elon Musk regarding his support for former President Donald Trump .

The controversy began when Musk responded to a post about migrants eligible for naturalization in the United States. In a long message on his social media platform, Musk painted a dire picture of America's political future, claiming that if Trump is not elected in the upcoming presidential race, "this will be the last election."

Trump, the GOP presidential nominee, is set to face off against Vice President Kamala Harris , who became the Democratic nominee after President Joe Biden withdrew from the race, in November.

Musk's argument centered on the idea that the Democratic Party is expediting the naturalization of immigrants, potentially creating millions of new voters in key swing states. He claims that this strategy would lead to a one-party system, effectively ending democracy in America.

"Very few Americans realize that, if Trump is NOT elected, this will be the last election," Musk wrote on X. "Far from being a threat to democracy, he is the only way to save it!"

The tech mogul went on to claim that the Biden administration has been flying "asylum seekers" directly into swing states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Arizona, describing it as "a surefire way to win every election."

In a pointed response, Cuban cautioned Musk about the perils of aligning himself too closely with the former president.

"Elon, there will come a time when you need something from Donald Trump," Cuban fired back on X. "You will think you will have earned the right to ask and receive. You have been a loyal, faithful soldier for him. You have supported him politically with 10s of millions of dollars."

Cuban's warning took a personal turn as he continued, "Then, at the point you need him the most, you will find out what so many before you have learned, his loyalty is only to himself."

Newsweek contacted Cuban and Musk's press contact via email on Sunday for comment.

Adding an intriguing twist to the debate, Cuban referenced X's own AI chatbot, Grok, in his critique of Musk's claims. "Hey truly appreciate the work you have done with It's a great way to factcheck you," Cuban wrote, sharing a fact-check response from the chatbot that appeared to contradict some of Musk's assertions.

This is not the first time Cuban and Musk have clashed on social media.

On September 17, Cuban posted "Hey this could make profitable," while sharing a previous post of the patent receipt of a new software Cuban and two others had invented. Cuban appeared to have to turn off the comments of the post.

In the original post, the Mavericks owner explained the system was designed to "deliver ads, of any media type, from social media or any other software with a user profile."

The "Shark Tank" alum added that the system also enabled the owner of the profile, or the platform itself, to sell advertisements in the original post, saying, "If you want to add revenue to your platform, just ask!"
