Martinsville man arrested with gun and drugs on P&HCC campus
Police arrested a Martinsville man with a gun and drugs in his possession while on the Patrick & Henry Community College campus after campus authorities learned about a potential threatening situation.
A release from the Henry County Sheriff's Office stated that the threatening situation was posed by a student, but did not make clear if the man who was arrested, was a student.
Campus police responded on Monday and Henry County deputies arrived to assist in the arrest of William Shane Goodman, 35, of Barrows Mill Road, who was apprehended without incident, the release stated.
Goodman was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a firearm while possessing methamphetamine, and possession of a controlled substance. Goodman was jailed in the Henry County Adult Detention Center without bond.
