BOSTON (WWLP) – There are several races in the U.S. and Massachusetts House of Representatives.

Who is on the Massachusetts ballot?

In the U.S. House of Representatives, Congressman Richard Neal is running for a 19th term in the First Congressional District. He is being challenged this year by independent candidate Nadia Milleron . Neal is currently the leading Democrat on the House Ways and Means Committee. Milleron is an attorney and farmer from Sheffield.

The 1st Congressional District includes all of Berkshire and Hampden Counties, southern and western portions of Hampshire County, far western Franklin County, and southeastern Worcester County.

U.S. House: Neal vs. Milleron

U.S. House: McGovern vs. Milleron

In the second Congressional District, Congressman Jim McGovern is running for a 16th term. McGovern was first elected to the House in 1996. He is currently the leading Democrat on the House Rules Committee. McGovern is challenged by independent candidate Cornelius Shea of Shrewsbury. He's a teacher and Marine Corps veteran.

The 2nd Congressional District includes most of Franklin County and central and northern portions of Hampshire County.

State House: Pease vs. Matthews-Kane

Westfield Republican State Representative Kelly Pease is running for a third term in the fourth Hampden District. Running against him this year is Democrat Bridget Matthews-Kane, who represents Ward 3 on the Westfield City Council. This District includes most of Westfield and all of Southampton.

State House: Whipps vs. Raymond

State Representative Susannah Whipps is currently the only independent member of the legislature and she represents the 2nd Franklin district in the State House. This year, she faces a rematch against Republican Jeffrey Raymond, who ran against her in 2022. They both live in Athol.

State House: Davis vs. Mitts

The third Berkshire District will have a new state representative after this election. Longtime Representative William "Smitty" Pignatelli is not running for re-election. Great Barrington Select Board Vice Chair Leigh Davis won a three-way Democratic primary in September. She faces a challenge from independent Marybeth Mitts, who is a Lenox Select Board member.

The Third Berkshire District stretches from Dalton down to the Connecticut state line.
