Meals on Wheels San Antonio delivers holiday cheer with 2,500 Thanksgiving meals for homebound seniors
SAN ANTONIO - This Thanksgiving, Meals on Wheels San Antonio (MOWSA) delivered a heartwarming holiday meal to over 2,500 homebound seniors.
With the opening of its new headquarters, MOWSA is now equipped with the resources to expand its holiday meal delivery program, ensuring that no one spends Thanksgiving alone.
The meal will include all the Thanksgiving classics: turkey, stuffing, trimmings, sweet potato casserole, seasoned green beans, and pumpkin pie. This festive spread will not only provide essential nutrition but also bring a touch of holiday cheer to those who might feel isolated.
Delivering Thanksgiving meals to thousands of clients is no small task. MOWSA relies on the dedication of its volunteers to make this holiday a special one for its clients. These volunteers will be the embodiment of MOWSA's mission, bringing warmth and nourishment to their neighbors in need.
