Meet our pets of the week: A boxer mix, a beagle mix and a quarter horse

is a 6-month-old boxer mix who came to HSMO's Maryland Heights shelter at the beginning of October as a stray. Penelope would love an active family that can help her with basic obedience and take her for lots of walks.

is an 11-year-old quarter horse who came to Longmeadow Rescue Ranch in January as an owner surrender. Because he shows signs of arthritis and navicular, the Longmeadow team has deemed Rolo a pasture companion. He could also be adopted by someone looking for a leadline horse. Rolo is a beautiful gelding with a nice personality. The Longmeadow team believe he would do best with an intermediate handler, or a beginner who is willing to learn how to handle him.

is a 2-year-old beagle mix who came to the Humane Society of Missouri's Macklind Avenue headquarters in August as an owner surrender. This happy-go-lucky gal loves everyone she meets and got along well with other dogs in her previous home.
