Meghan Markle Just Rewore a Blazer From Her Pregnancy Wardrobe
Prince HarryMeghan Markle made their first joint appearance in over three months, sharing a video message on Thursday, November 7, at the Global Ministerial Conference on Violence Against Children ahead of World Remembrance Day.
Royal fashion watchers will also remember the single-button Ralph Lauren navy blazer from her pregnancy wardrobe. In 2019, Markle, 43, wore the same jacket at We Day in London while pregnant with her now 5 year-old son, Archie, who she shares with husband Prince Harry, 40.
At the time, she paired the $1,990 cashmere 'Parker' blazer — featuring classic Ralph Lauren details, like "RR" and crown-engraved gold buttons — with all-black everything: a simple tee and bump-baring maternity jeans by Rag & Bone that showed off her expectant shape. She elevated the ensemble with her go-to Manolo Blahnik black suede pumps.
The Duchess of Sussex also wore her signature stacked rings and two textured 18-carat gold bracelets from ethical jewelry label Pippa: the Wajiha cuff and the Omeen bangle . Last but not least was a "Mommy" nameplate necklace by Jennifer Meyer, which is said to have been a gift Markle received at her royal baby shower in February 2019.
On this occasion, she took a similar approach, layering the blazer over a black top and accessorizing with handmade 14-carat gold Royal Signet stud earrings by Ariel Gordon. However, in both instances it was Markle's heritage navy blazer that stood out most of all.
It's a go-to piece for the former royal, who has demonstrated her penchant for polished tailoring in every possible neutral since the early days of her courtship with Harry.
Below, a look back at Markle's 10 best blazer moments that prove the staple is always in style.
