Men with sledgehammers steal purses worth over $30,000 in Manhattan: sources

UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) – Two men are accused of using sledgehammers to steal three purses on the Upper East Side on Sunday, according to the NYPD.

It happened near Madison Avenue and East 64th Street around 7 p.m. Patrol cars and police officers were seen outside of a Chanel store, a video on Citizen App showed, but it's not confirmed where the robbery took place.

The suspects stole three purses valued at $32,000 total, sources told PIX11 News.

There have been no arrests.
