Methodist Physicians to offer drive-thru vaccine clinics in Omaha, Fremont, Council Bluffs

D.Martin29 min ago
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - As cold and flu season gets going, Methodist Physicians' Clinic will offer this year's flu vaccine at four locations in a drive-thru format.

Shots are available for those aged six months and older. High dose shots are available for those 65 and older.

"We know that time and convenience remain significant barriers to vaccination," said Michael Ortmeier, senior director of clinic operations for Methodist Physicians Clinic. "But we also know that Methodist's drive-thru flu vaccine clinics – which have become an annual event due to the popularity of such ease and convenience – continue to remove such barriers. In an effort to improve the health of our communities, it's our mission and privilege to continue providing such efficient means to care."

Call 402-354-CARE to schedule an appointment at any drive-thru location. After an appointment is confirmed, a copy of an insurance card will be requested to help make the appointment more efficient.

The release sent by Methodist Physicians says IDs are required at every appointment.

The shots will be administered from inside the vehicle, done in a matter of minutes, according to the release.

The clinic will bill the patient's insurance, and self-pay patients will be billed by mail.
