On Nov. 2, the 13th Annual Caregiver Conference will be held at the Golden Leaf Banquet Center, 2902 E. Kimberly Road in Davenport. The theme this year is "Self-Care", and you can find many services and resources to aid in caregiving as well as learn self-care techniques. There will also be free chair massages, and guest speakers including Jeff Adamson from GIT Improv, the QC Canine Assistance Network, and Laugh Yoga by Senior Star. The event is free and open to the public from 8 a.m. to noon.

By practicing self-care, caregivers not only protect their own well-being but also enhance their ability to provide sustained, compassionate care to their loved ones. A healthy caregiver is better equipped to be a strong, effective support system.
