Missing Mom Suzanne Simpson's Husband Charged With Her Murder
Brad Simpson, the husband of Suzanne Simpson, a Texas mother who has been missing for more than a month, has been charged with her murder as the search for her body continues, officials announced on Thursday (November 8) via News 4 San Antonio .
Simpson, 53, was formally charged while already incarcerated and is being held on a $5 million bond, Bexar County officials confirmed. The real estate agent was arrested on October 9 and initially charged with prohibited weapons, evidence tampering, unlawful restraint and bodily injury to a family member in relation to the case centered around his wife's disappearance.
Suzanne, 51, was reported missing after a neighbor claimed to have seen her physically fighting with her husband outside home in Olmos Park on October 6, which allegedly escalated to Brad "grabbing her upper torso area to gain control of her body," which the neighbor said was an effort to prohibit her from running away, News 4 San Antonio reported. The couple's daughter, , shared a series of Instagram messages claiming her father was abusive and killed her mother.
"My mom was a victim of abuse from my father, my father took my mother's life in a state of rage and control. In our community, this should not be happening and I will not stop speaking as the voice of my mother until she is found," Chandler wrote via News 4 San Antonio. "I will forever represent all victims of domestic abuse and assault. As my mother's daughter, I will tell our story over and over again, with every breath, I will make sure you remember her name. Suzanne Simpson was a victim of abuse and a victim of this community. Beyond being a victim she was a phenomenal mother, hardworking, driven, loving, and kind."
