Mobility scooter destroyed by forklift, Jeep during argument, Somerset men charged

SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Two Somerset men were charged after an argument led to a mobility scooter being hit by a Jeep which was hit by a forklift, state police report.

According to state police, Kermit Gribble, 81, and Todd Gribble, 59, got into an argument on Monday Sept. 9. Kermit tried to leave on a forklift when Todd allegedly pushed a female who was present and threatened to run her over.

Troopers said Kermit then drove the forklift into a second woman's Jeep. This caused the Jeep to run over Todd's mobility scooter, valued at $1,200.

Approximately $17,000 total in damage was estimated, state police noted.

Kermit was charged with criminal mischief – damage to property, and disorderly conduct engaging in fighting. Todd was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment.

Both men were subpoenaed and preliminary hearings are scheduled for Oct. 31.
