The former Love Island stars, who met on the ITV dating show back in 2019, announced in August that they were separating after five years together.

The pair welcomed daughter Bambi together in January 2023 and got engaged that July.

They announced their split in separate social media statements, with many fans speculating that Tommy had been unfaithful to his fiancée.

Molly-Mae opened up about her "really sad" breakup in a new interview with British Vogue, admitting that the split was "a bit of a shock" for her.

"People were saying 'it's Princess Diana and Charles'," she recalled.

"It was a bit of a shock. The circumstances... I didn't want what happened to happen".

The 25-year-old said she "wanted to get married to Tommy, 100pc, and that would never have changed. I wanted to get married next September and it's very hard when it's kind of taken away. But I will always have a lot of love and respect for him."

Molly-Mae added that "no one will ever really know what went down" apart from her and Tommy.

"That's how we'd like to keep it, for Bambi's sake," she said.

"I do think that he will talk about things eventually. I do think that when he's ready, like, maybe more will be said. But I think that's for him to do on his terms.

"It's not like it's gossip, it's real life and it's, you know, it's a really deep situation. It's really sad."

The influencer also opened up about how she found motherhood difficult at first after welcoming daughter Bambi almost two years ago.

"It really took me by surprise how much I struggled with becoming a mum," she admitted, saying that she found the first few weeks of being a mum incredibly difficult.

"I'd be here and I'd sit and I'd think, 'What have I done?'

"The newborn trenches were... I don't think I'm over them yet. I still hold a lot of trauma from that time of my life," she added.
