SAN ANTONIO - The election is about a month away and judging by the polls, it is going to be a very close race for president and several other races.

Monday is your last day to register to vote and Bexar County Judge Peter Sakai will be holding a press conference at 10 a.m. Friday to talk about voting this November.

He plans to address the effort by the Bexar County Commissioner's Court to increase the number of registered voters in the county and he wants to help expand opportunities for the deaf community to access voting locations.

Right now, there are more than 1,283,000 people registered to vote, and according to Bexar County Elections, that is the biggest number they have ever seen register in any election, and they expect that number to grow as we get closer to Election Day on Nov. 5.

Early voting runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning the week of Oct. 21.
