High pressure holds tough over Upper Michigan through the end of the work-and-school week, minimizing the rain chances from a passing Ontario-based system and keeping cloud coverage low. But the pressure tension between the Ontario low and high produces gusty winds in the U.P., reaching gale-force in the Keweenaw Peninsula before winds subside later Friday.

Another round of rain comes later during the Veterans Day holiday weekend, with rain totals mainly less than a half inch. A potentially soaking round comes next Wednesday, with snow in the mix towards Thursday as temperatures cool down.
