Mother-daughter duo open salon in Batavia

BATAVIA, Ohio (WXIX) - A mother-daughter duo has teamed up to help create an unforgettable experience called Blush Beauty.

The next big thing that has recently opened in Batavia is Blush Beauty, a one-stop salon where clients can go and forget their troubles and pamper themselves.

"We have four hairstylists here," describes Blush Beauty owner Tina Stewart. "We have a nail tech and an esthetician; A lash artist and we also do permanent jewelry here."

Tina is the permanent jewelry artist and owner of the salon, which she manages with her daughter, Samantha, who is the lash artist at the salon.

Tina says they were inspired to open their shop after her daughter finished her eyelash certification.

"I went with her looking for a booth rental type set up and while we were out looking around, it was like this is something we could do ourselves," describes Tina.

That is exactly what they did, opening Blush Beauty on North 3rd Street in May.

While they instantly fell in love with the space, Tina says she later learned that this is the spot where she believes she was meant to be.

"After I bought this building, we weren't aware at the time, but my parents lived in this building in 1970 before they had any children and so my dad was standing down here with four generations of his family," Tine says.

Now, Tina and Samantha are hoping to carry on a new legacy in this salon for many more generations to come while becoming a community staple in Batavia.
