Motorcyclist, 19, killed in crash on Routes 1 & 9 ID’d by police

Authorities have identified a 19-year-old motorcyclist killed in a crash with a pickup on Routes 1 & 9 in Linden earlier this month. The crash occurred as the pickup was traveling through the turnaround near the Phillips 66 terminal entrance to travel north at about 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 3, Linden police said. The motorcyclist, Ryan Ye, had just exited Interstate 278 onto Routes 1 & 9, according to police. Ye, of Brooklyn, New York, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified by police on Tuesday.
