The crash happened just after 6 a.m. on I-77 near Sutton Road. Traffic Team 9 spotted significant delays and backups forming on I-77 near that crash, affecting commutes into south Charlotte. That traffic closure lasted for hours Monday morning.

The York County Sheriff's Office says multiple people were hurt in the crash. YCSO said six vehicles were involved, including multiple 18-wheelers.

Authorities said just after 1 p.m. that the crash was cleared and the lanes were reopened.

Few cars can keep up with a McLaren 720S with its twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 belting out a monstrous 710-horsepower. The British supercar can do a 0-60 mph gallop in just 2.8 seconds. Last time we checked, the average police cruiser can't do that, except maybe falling off a cliff. Germans cheer as two supercars are impounded by police. And that's the challenge police face in this dashcam video of a suspect in a McLaren 720S deciding to run from an attempted traffic stop. The supercar just blasts pa

Most people don't think much about police cars, but we know from speaking with them that cops absolutely have thoughts on them. Many aren't fans of the newer models, in particular the SUVs which have come to dominate quite a few departments. Japanese authorities seeking to reduce the carbon footprint and overcrowding at Mount Fuji will propose a trackless, rubber-tyred tram system made by China's CRRC to transport climbers, a person with direct knowledge of the plan said. Yamanashi Prefecture, home of the most popular route used by climbers of the 3,776-metre (12,3388-foot) volcano, is set to announce the plan soon, the person told Reuters, asking for anonymity because the information is not yet public. Mount Fuji, which straddles Yamanashi and Shizuoka prefectures, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Japan, whose numbers have surged in recent years.

Just days after announcing a civil fine against Ford for moving too slowly on a recall, the U.S. government unveiled two investigations into recalls that may not have worked or covered enough vehicles. In April Ford recalled certain 2021 through 2024 Bronco Sports and 2022 through 2023 Mavericks were recalled because they can suddenly lose power. There have been five complaints from owners whose vehicles lost power after getting the recall fix, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in a document posted Monday.
