Billionaire Elon Musk said his political action committee will "keep grinding" in support of Republican Party candidates for federal office in the coming years.

In a Nov. 12 post on the social media platform X, Musk vowed that America PAC would continue to increase "Republican registrations in key districts around the country, in preparation for special elections and the midterms."A follow-up post said the PAC will also "play a significant role" in primaries.Musk is listed as the founder of America PAC on its website . The website says the organization supports strong borders, safe cities, free speech, sensible spending, a fair justice system, and self-protection.

Musk, the CEO of Tesla Inc., was a vocal supporter of President-elect Donald Trump in the final months of the general election. The owner of X Corp. appeared at rallies, hosted webcasts, and appeared in interviews to speak about his endorsement of the Republican Party's presidential nominee.

In a Nov. 5 discussion on X Spaces , Musk detailed his ambitions. He said the PAC will target down-ballot races and local elections and focus on reforming the judicial system."I think something needs to be done to kind of counter the damage that [George] Soros has done to the American system," Musk said during the discussion .

The Epoch Times reached out to representatives of Soros for comment but did not receive a response by publication time.

Soros, the chairman of the Open Society Foundations, has been a significant donor to progressive political causes. According to the watchdog organization Open Secrets , Soros was the largest individual donor to federal candidates in the 2021–2022 election cycle, spending about $178.8 million to support the Democratic Party's candidates.Musk is the principal benefactor of America PAC. According to its latest pre-general election filing published by the Federal Election Commission on Oct. 24, Musk—listing himself as the CEO of Space Exploration Technologies Corp.—sent a total of about $118.5 million to the PAC between July 3 and Oct. 15.

The same filing said Musk's donations made up the vast majority of the about $130.3 million America PAC raised since its formation in May 2024. As of Oct. 16, the PAC had spent about $127 million during the same period.

Independent expenditure reports attached to the Oct. 24 filing said America PAC spent its money on printing, postage, phone calls, text messages, digital media, canvassing, and field operations largely to boost Trump and oppose the Democratic Party's candidate, Vice President Kamala Harris. Smaller expenditures were directed toward helping Republicans in races for the House and Senate.

Musk and the PAC attracted considerable media attention by giving away $1 million per day to registered voters who signed a petition supporting free speech and the right to bear arms in the run-up to the election. The $1 million check promotion also drew attention from both the U.S. Department of Justice and Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, who attempted to block the gifts by accusing the PAC of running an illegal lottery. That effort was ultimately blocked by a judge from the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas on Nov. 4.
