BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty was left lost for words during Friday's episode when her co-star stripped topless in the middle of a live broadcast.

During the latest episode, the presenter, 49, and fellow host Charlie Stayt, 62, introduced a segment by journalist Steve Harris in which he reported on Dorset Museum's naked viewing in which naturists can roam around the galleries in the nude.

Speaking about the eyebrow-raising segment, Charlie said: 'So normally when you think of nudes in a museum, your mind would naturally wander to statues or maybe sculptures.'

Naga then added: 'That mind change. A museum in Dorchester is literally bringing that idea to life. Recently it's opening its doors to visitors who want to wander through its galleries after hours, completely naked. Why? Well, that's what our reporter Steve Harris has been finding out.'

In his report at the museum in Dorchester, Steve interviewed naked participants in the event which was organised by British Naturism, however, the broadcaster got carried away at the end of the segment as he decided to get involved himself.

The segment saw one keen naturalist telling Steve that wondering around the gallery in the buff 'gives you a massive confidence to see normal people naked', while the museum's director told how the unusual event 'showcased the many ways museums can be enjoyed'.

And as he wrapped things up, Steve noted that the museum is set to close following the one-off event and he didn't want to miss out on the chance to experience the museum in the nude.

He explained: 'For now, this evening is a one-off. After tonight, the museum will be closed until further notice but I'm not going to miss out on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. What's that saying? When in Rome...'

The broadcaster then proceeded to strip off his shirt and blazer, much to the alarm of his co-stars in the studio.

As the camera panned back to Naga and Charlie, Naga looked visibly shocked by her co-star's actions as an awkward silence ensued, before Charlie then remarked: 'Good. It's all good. Steve Harris that was.'

Regaining her composure, Naga then asked: 'Does that appeal to you?', to which Charlie responded: 'No, I just think it's great. People being happy, doing their thing. Why not?'.

Following the segment, viewers were quick to take to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their opinions.

They penned: Well done for keeping a straight face earlier.'

'Best thing I've seen on in years, Naga's face as a piece on a nude-friendly art gallery ended. Looked a bit like Dame Edna when she was shocked.'

'Never seen lost for words before after the report on Dorset Museum!!'

It comes after Naga teased her 'disgusted' co-host Charlie Stayt just minutes into last week's show.

The presenter couldn't help but taunt the broadcaster during a segment that left him squirming.

In the programme, Naga and Charlie were discussing the recent fly infestations in Wales with correspondent Hywel Griffith.

Naga explained: 'Residents of a village in South Wales say they've been inundated by a mysterious swarm of flies.'

'People living in Bettws near Bridgend say they can't open their windows or eat lunch in peace because of the insects,' Charlie added.

As photos of dead flies were shown stuck in traps and being swept up by a broom, he shuddered in disgust.

Naga taunted: 'Has that bothered you?'

'A bit like that, isn't it? Urgh,' Charlie responded as Naga giggled.
