The Nashville Predators have recalled defenseman Adam Wilsby from the Milwaukee Admirals.

Wilsby, 24, was a fourth round selection (No. 101 overall) by the Predators in 2020. The Stockholm, Sweden native turned professional in 2022 and has played 144 games for the Admirals. The 6-foot-1, 190 pound blueliner is seen as a defense-first player, though he's chipped in 10 goals and 32 assists in his time with Milwaukee.

Wilsby has yet to make his NHL debut, but could do so as early as Thursday when the Predators visit Edmonton.

The Predators were down to only six defenseman on the roster after Dante Fabbro was waived over the weekend. Wilsby joins Roman Josi, Brady Skjei, Jeremy Lauzon, Alex Carrier, Marc Del Gaizo, and Luke Schenn on Nashville's defense rotation.

In a corresponding move, the Admirals added defenseman Jeremy Hanzel on loan from the ECHL's Atlanta Gladiators. Hanzel was acquired from Colorado earlier this year as part of the package that sent Yakov Trenin to the Avalanche.
