Nebraska Corn Board accepting internship applications

LINCOLN — The Nebraska Corn Board has opened internship application period for six internship experiences beginning in May 2025.

The internships vary in location, focus and scope but are designed to provide students with an overview of Nebraska's corn industry through real-world professional examples and experiences.

Five of the six internships are summer-long experiences, with four based outside Nebraska. There is a new internship addition in 2025, an agriculture broadcasting and digital communications internship being hosted by the Nebraska Rural Radio Association.

Each of the experiences are with cooperating partners of NCB. The position based with the Nebraska Corn office is a yearlong internship.

Internship opportunities include (all application due Oct. 11):

Communications and event management internship, hosted by Nebraska Corn in Lincoln; summer 2025 and/or 2025-2026 school year

Communications and investor relations internship, hosted by the National Corn Growers Association in St. Louis; summer 2025.

Public policy and analysis internship, hosted by the national corn growers association in Washington, D.C.; summer 2025.

Agriculture broadcasting and digital communications internship, hosted by the Nebraska Rural Radio Association and Market Journal in Lincoln; summer 2025.

Event management internship, hosted by the U.S. Grains Council in Washington, D.C.; summer 2025.

Promotion and international relations internship, hosted by U.S. Meat Export Federation in Denver; summer 2025.

Nebraska Corn internships are open to all college students, with a preference given to students enrolled in colleges or universities located in Nebraska. The application process can be found online at . The submission deadline is Friday, Oct. 11.

Nebraska Cattlemen accepting nominations for Young Cattlemen's Connections Class of 2025

LINCOLN — Nebraska Cattlemen is accepting nominations for the Young Cattlemen's Connections Class of 2025 until Tuesday, Oct. 22

YCC is a longstanding Nebraska Cattlemen tradition aiming to keep the future of the industry innovative and knowledgeable. This program helps emerging leaders understand the industry structure, issues management, product research and marketing, and teaches participants how to become effective communicators.

The YCC program is a two-year commitment and each class is compromised of no more than 10 people. Alongside a summer or fall meeting each year, the upcoming Class of 2025 will have meetings in Lincoln on Jan. 20-23, 2025, and Jan. 27-30, 2026.

Nominees will be required to fill out an application for the selection committee to review. Individuals and Nebraska Cattlemen Affiliates are asked to limit nominations to only one individual. The YCC Class of 2025 will be announced on Nov. 15.
