Neighborhood House Party | Good Day Central Illinois

PEORIA, Ill. (WYZZ) — It's time to dust off an old pair of Chuck Taylors and pick out a cozy flannel jacket because the Neighborhood House is throwing it back to the 90s.

The Neighborhood House has provided services to the Peoria area for the last 128 years, including youth education , adult literacy programs , food pantry services , and an array of holiday programming.

At the upcoming Neighborhood House Party, the organization plans to raise funds for these programs while celebrating the achievements of its biggest supporters.

At the upcoming fundraiser, party-goers will be showered in nostalgia; from 90s music, trivia, and food.

Every year, the organization also honors individuals and businesses that have helped further its mission. This year, the Mitchell C. Serafin Award will go to Kuna Foods for the work they have done to provide over 200,000 meals to local families in need.

The A.S. Oakford Award will be handed out to Jamieson School for its efforts with the Meals on Wheels program. Finally, the John Brock Award will be awarded to a former Neighborhood House board member, John Sutherland.

Tickets for the Neighborhood House Party 90s Rewind are $75 per person. The event will take place at the Warehouse on State on Thursday, Oct. 3 from 6-10 p.m. Although the dress code is casual, 90s-inspired outfits are encouraged. So, feel free to go all out with that faded 90s grunge band tee, sitcom memorabilia, and retro video game gear.
