Neighbors, Simpson family reacts to new murder charges
OLMOS PARK, TX - The case of missing mother Suzanne Simpson has brought a lot of eyes to the Olmos Park community.
Suzanne and, her husband, Brad's neighbors have particularly been keeping just as close of an eye on it.
We caught up with one neighbor who said he wasn't surprised by this outcome
He said he already believed Suzanne was dead, adding he believed brad was abusing her behind closed doors. Now, he said he hopes police catch a break to find her body.
Bringing her family, and her children, justice.
Nearby neighbors weren't the only ones to share their thoughts.
Brad's brother, Barton Simpson, is also speaking on behalf of their family following the announcement of those charges.
In a statement, Barton said:
"It is heartbreaking, but it brings our family some peace to know that authorities have gathered sufficient evidence to feel confident in moving forward with charges. This also helps us to come to terms with the reality that Suzanne is no longer with us, allowing us to begin a difficult grieving process and focus on rebuilding our lives, especially for the sake of the children and our extended family. We remain appreciative to all law enforcement involved for their professionalism in dealing with this situation."
We're told police brought both Brad's parents and Suzanne's mother in on Thursday night to explain why they decided to bring these charges against him.
Olmos Park police plan to answer those questions on Friday during a press conference at 2 p.m.
