Sports New Angle Emerges of Shedeur Sanders' Last-Second Hail Mary

On Saturday night, Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes pulled off a miracle 38-31 win over the Baylor Bears to move to 3-1 on the young 2024 college football season.

With only two seconds remaining in the game and Colorado down 31-24 at the Baylor 43-yard line, Sanders dropped back to pass and heaved the ball all the way to the endzone in hopes his receiver would come down with the Hail Mary.

Sure enough, LaJohntay Webster made the catch while falling down with no time remaining, making the score 31-30. The extra point was good, and the game went into overtime.

An endzone angle of the touchdown was posted online shortly after it happened live, and it makes the play look that much more impressive.

In overtime, running back Micah Welch scored a touchdown on the ground to give the Buffaloes the lead. Baylor, after getting to the 2-yard line on their OT possession, failed to get into the endzone as Travis Hunter forced a fumble to end the game.

Sanders finished the night completing 25-of-41 passes for 341 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 26 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. Hunter tallied seven catches for 130 yards, a tackle for loss and the game-sealing play.

Colorado will take its two-game winning streak to Orlando, Florida, in Week 5 to take on the UCF Knights. Baylor will head back home for their Week 5 match against the BYU Cougars.
