HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – A new dog park in downtown Henderson is set to cut the ribbon.

Officials with the Henderson Chamber of Commerce state the Downtown Henderson Dog Park will hold the ceremony on Monday, September 23 at 5:30 p.m. at 22 N. Water St.

Officials state the new dog park will be a fun and safe place for dogs and owners to enjoy the outdoors in the heart of downtown Henderson.

Officials also state the Henderson County Humane Society will be in attendance and have adoptable dogs at the event, giving attendees the chance to meet and potentially take home a new dog.

"We're thrilled to provide a new space for dogs and their families to gather downtown. It's wonderful to drive down Water Street and see dogs playing while their owners enjoy the park. The sunset views from the dog park are simply stunning, creating the perfect backdrop for this community space," said Jada Hamby, Event Coordinator for the Henderson Chamber of Commerce.
