New Orleans ends 19-day homicide-free streak with man fatally shot in St. Roch

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police are investigating a fatal shooting early Saturday (Sept. 21) morning near Touro and North Derbigny Streets. Investigators say the man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. This homicide investigation ends a 19-day streak of no killings across the city of New Orleans. The last reported New Orleans murder happened Sept. 1, when police say Chante Mark shot Raven Francis in the head while she and some friends drove away from a fight at the Shamrock Bar and Grill in Mid City.
