Norah Sis went back to the service line during Sunday's second set with No. 6 Creighton leading 10-8.

By the time Villanova got a sideout, the Bluejays were two points from closing out that set.

A 14-point run highlighted a ninth straight sweep for the Bluejays as they won 25-10, 25-12, 25-18 over a Villanova team that was tied for fourth place in the Big East.

"I got tired," Sis said with a laugh when asked about the long run. "It was fun. When the ball came back on our side, our hitters did a really good of terminating the first chance that we got and I think that's something we focus on a lot and I thought that we did that really well."

Creighton (21-2, 12-0 Big East) swept St. John's on Friday, but coach Kirsten Bernthal Booth felt CU's level of play was improved Sunday.

"I thought it was a clean match (compared to) Friday night when we didn't think we were great behind the line," Booth said. "I thought that was much, much better today. Putting pressure on them, I think that opened things up."

Creighton had 11 service errors and no aces Friday. Against Villanova (13-10, 6-6), the Jays had six aces and one missed serve.

During the long service run, Sis had three aces while middle blocker Kiara Reinhardt had two kills and was in on three ace blocks.

"Like Norah said, we served really tough today and I think it obviously took 'Nova out of system," said Reinhardt, who finished with seven kills and a team-best six blocks. "I think as blockers we were able to just make better reads."

The only time Creighton trailed in the match was when Villanova won the first point of the third set. CU not only controlled the net with its block, but it also hit .400 as a team.

Ava Martin led Creighton with 13 kills while hitting .478, while Sis had 11 kills. Sis also hit career kill No. 1,500 with the Jays in the first set.

Kendra Wait had another double-double with 33 assists and 10 digs.

Creighton has won 14 straight matches heading into Friday's 6 p.m. home match against Butler. CU then will have a showdown with second-place Marquette in Milwaukee on Nov. 10.
