BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - An army of Vermonters impacted by Medicaid are putting the new Green Mountain Care Board report on trial.

A group consisting of people on or excluded from Medicaid called the Nonviolent Medicaid Army will gather on the steps of the state supreme court in Montpelier today.

It comes after a report from consultants to the Green Mountain Care Board recommended closing or repurposing some of the state's smaller hospitals.

Monday's protest will include stories about health care challenges thanks to Medicaid cut-offs and rising insurance rates.

That protest is organized by the Vermont Workers' Center and the Nonviolent Medicaid Army

It starts at noon on Monday in Montpelier.
