NWS issues tornado warning issued for northeastern Adams County, Concordia Parish, ‘Take cover now!’ Published 4:39 pm Monday, November 20, 2023
NATCHEZ — A tornado warning has been issued in the area at 4:26 p.m. today by the National Weather Service.
Strong storm systems capable of producing tornadoes were detected over Clayton near Ferriday moving east at 45 miles per hour.
“Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter,” NWS states.
Email newsletter signup“Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.”
“This dangerous storm will be near Waterproof and Spokane at 4:30 p.m.; Church Hill at 4:40 p.m.; and Fayette, Alcorn State and Lorman around 4:55 p.m.
A tornado watch issued earlier today remains in effect until 7 p.m.
