Officer from Brownwood PD receives NASRO PRACTIONER STATUS award

BROWNWOOD, Texas ( KTAB/KRBC ) – On November 2, the National School Resource Officers awarded Brownwood Police Department's Fred Bastardo the National School Resource Officer Practitioner Status award.

The award established by the NASRO highlights officers who've gone above and beyond in their roles to ensure a safe and supportive environment for students. NASRO acknowledges Officer Bastardo's completion of the rigorous requirements, demonstrating his leadership and dedication to law enforcement.

Bastardo is set to be recognized at the 2025 National School Safety Conference in Grapevine, Texas. He's expected to receive a uniform pin, certificate, and a letter of recommendation.
