Officials prepare to fill creek bed sinkhole in Luzerne

(WBRE/WYOU) — Materials are in place to fix a creek bed sinkhole in Luzerne County.
Orange spray paint could be seen marking the areas the sinkhole affected.
Alert issued for sewer main break in Central PA
Part of the creek is flowing into the sinkhole, which the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) says opened in recent days and resulted in water loss.
The sinkhole is near the previous subsidence that hit the creek this past April .
DEP says it is monitoring Toby Creek and that work will begin within days to fill the subsidence.
