TAMPA BAY, FL — Looking for something to do this weekend? There's something for every interest — a Humane Society fundraiser, Free Museum Day, walks and runs, an Hispanic heritage celebration.

St. Jude Walk/Run

The annual St. Jude Walk/Run , presented by Primrose Schools in Tampa, takes place Saturday, 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., starting at Amalie Arena. Funds raised will help cure childhood cancer.

Arts Alive! Free Museum Day

Visit some of St. Petersburg's most popular museums Saturday for Arts Alive! Free Museum Day . Participating museums include Imagine Museum, the James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art, Museum of Fine Arts, and The Dali Museum.

Stronger Together Recovery Walk

The Pasco County Alliance for Substance Addiction Prevention hosts this fourth annual walk Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Sims Park in New Port Richey.

Glazer Children's Museum Birthday Bash

Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

Celebrate Hispanic culture Sunday, 11 .m. to 3 p.m., at the Gladden Park Recreation Center in St. Petersburg. There will be free food, music, games, vendors and inflatables.

Sarasota Opera Food & Wine Festival

The Sarasota Opera's 2024 Food and Wine Fest returns with a large roster of participating restaurants from Sarasota to St. Armands to Bradenton on Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m. The fundraiser takes place at the Sarasota Opera House.

Tuxes & Tails Black Tie Gala

This signature fundraiser for the Humane Society Tampa Bay , which takes place Saturday, 7 to 11 p.m., at the Tampa Convention Center, features live and silent auctions, a cocktail hour, dinner and dessert, live entertainment, and adoptable pets.

Banned Books Week Kick-Off Event

Shuffle in Tampa kicks off Banned Books Week with an event Sunday starting at noon. There will be books, drag queens, live music, food and drink specials, and more.

Miss Honu Pin-up Contest

Twelve contestants will compete in the Miss Honu pin-up contest Sunday, 2 p.m., at The Honu restaurant in Dunedin. There will also be live music, vintage cars and tiki drinks. Contest registration is first come, first served.

Oktoberfest Kickoff Parade

Independent Bar and Cafe in Tampa hosts its annual Weihenstephan Oktoberfest kickoff parade from Hillsborough High School Sunday at 6 p.m. The parade will make its way to the Independent, where there will be live music, beer specials and Bavarian food.
