South Dakota State scored two goals in each half against a usually stingy Omaha women's soccer defense as the Jackrabbits won 4-1 Sunday afternoon at Caniglia Field.

UNO (6-2-3, 0-1-1 Summit League) hadn't allowed more than one goal in any of its first 10 games as SDSU won the matchup of teams ranked in the West region coaches poll – UNO is No. 8, while SDSU is ninth.

The Jackrabbits jumped ahead in the fourth minute as Hailee Christensen scored. SDSU (8-2-1, 1-0-0) took a 2-0 lead when it scored with five minutes left in the first half before UNO's Lindsey Birch scored 73 seconds into the second half.

SDSU, though, quickly answered as Laney Murdzek scored less than two minutes after Birch's goal. Murdzek added her second goal with 40 seconds left.

UNO will be back in action Thursday at South Dakota.
