One dead, another injured in fatal Bronx shooting: NYPD

THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — The NYPD is investigating a deadly shooting in the Bronx Sunday morning.

The incident happened around 1:07 a.m. at 2693 Morris Avenue, police say.

Responding officers found two men with gunshot wounds. Alvin Ortiz, 33, sustained a gunshot wound to the left arm and chest and was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the NYPD.

The second male, a 36-year-old with a gunshot wound to the left arm and wrist was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.

Investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
