One dead in overnight Cottonwood Heights car fire

tah ( ABC4 ) — An overnight car fire in Cottonwood Heights has left at least one person dead, authorities say.

Details on the fatal car fire are extremely limited. However, Unified Fire Authority said it responded to the scene around midnight on Wednesday, Nov. 13. At least one person is confirmed dead. It is currently unclear if any other victims were involved.

It is also unclear if the fire was the cause of death of the victim or if the victim died of other causes. The victim has not been publicly identified.

An investigation into the car fire and death is currently ongoing. Authorities do not believe any suspicious activity was involved.
