One injured in Quapaw shooting, suspect in standoff with authorities

QUAPAW, Okla. — One man is injured after a shooting in northeast Oklahoma with the suspect still in a standoff with police, Thursday morning.

A call for a shooting at a Quapaw residence came in around 3:28 a.m. Authorities with Quapaw Nation Marshal Service responded to the scene and located a man with a gunshot wound to the face. The suspect fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

    According to Chief Marshal Charles Addington, the suspect was eventually found at another residence in Quapaw and remains on the scene as of eight o'clock Thursday, in a standoff with QNMS.
