Open Thread Question of the Day: Do you have any more confidence in the offense with Shane Waldron dismissed?

These last couple of weeks, Halas Hall has been the home of a reality show. There's been turmoil, players have been speaking out, Nate Davis has been released, and Shane Waldron has been fired. Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus have turned to Thomas Brown, the former offensive coordinator in Carolina and the Bears' passing game coordinator, to return the offense to the cohesive engine it was the two games before the bye.Question of the Day: Do you have more confidence in the offense now that Shane Waldron is gone? I know plenty of fans will take the stance: it couldn't get any worse and that's true after the Bears have failed to score a touchdown in their last two games. Thomas Brown did not have success calling plays in Carolina, but he did take over a totally broken situation when he did (that sounds familiar). Brown has a lot to fix. He needs to work with OL coach Chris Morgan to develop a better cohesive plan to protect Caleb Williams, devise more creative routes to scheme some players open instead of running stale 1-on-1 routes, and develop a cohesive plan for calling plays, not just trying them at random. Can he do all that in four days?My answer: I think the offensive players will be excited to have a new playcaller. Hearing from Keenan Allen and some of the other players, they clearly did not respect Waldron's style. As a group of professionals that are mostly veterans, I think that's a different discussion that could be had, but let's just talk about the offense. I think we are going to see a bump offensively Sunday vs the Packers . I think Brown will try a few new things that the Packers won't necessarily have tape on or be expecting because it will break from what Waldron has been doing. But the bottom line here is unless Matt Eberflus takes the handcuffs off the offense and encourages Caleb Williams to play loose and take some chances and try for explosive plays, I don't expect too much to change. Do I have more confidence in the Chicago Bears ' offense? Yes, but only slightly. What do you say Bears fans? Do you agree with Bill or do you have a different opinion?
