Enjoy the music, food and fun from 9:30 a.m.—5:00 p.m. Coffee and kolache will be served from 9:30 — 10:30 a.m. Come before or after church.

Join the Young Professionals for a fun-filled day of football and food as we cheer on the Huskers together on Saturday, Oct. 19 at Kilgore Memorial Library. We'll provide soup, water, and all the essentials — just bring your favorite game day snack to share with everyone. All Husker fans are welcome, so feel free to bring your kids, friends, and anyone who wants to join in the fun!

and Vendor eventThe American Legion Auxiliary, Unit #218 of Exeter will be hosting their 15th Annual Crafts and Vendor event on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Exeter Legion from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. This is a fundraiser for Unit #218 to support the many projects the Auxiliary provides for veterans, youth and active military members each year. Unit #218 also provides upkeep to the kitchen area of the American Legion in Exeter and provides community support for other groups, fundraisers, numerous family events and funeral luncheons. Everyone is invited to attend on October 19 and register for door prizes along with money/cash giveaways at 2 p.m. Lunch will be available from the "Exeter Café" in the Legion during the event. Senator Deb Fischer will be in York on Tuesday, October 29 at the Cornerstone Event Center, 2400 N NE Ave. Meet & Greet from 6:15-7PM. Senator Fischer will update us on her work in Washington DC and her committee work at 7pm. Hosted by the York County GOP.

York American Legion Bolton Post #19 selling Christmas greeneryYork American Legion Bolton Post #19 is selling Christmas greenery this year as a fund raiser to help support the philanthropic activities the Post supports. There are a wide selection of items including wreaths, door swags, garland, center pieces and decorative reindeer. The Post is also offering for an additional fee of $5.00 to place one of the 22" wreaths on your loved one's grave at either Greenwood or St. Joesph cemeteries. The cost of the wreath is $30.00 and $5.00 to have the Legion place the wreath. Orders must be completed by November 12, 2024, with delivery between December 2 and December 10. Waco CBO's 3rd annual Trunk or Treat Come and join in the Waco CBO's 3rd annual Trunk or Treat on Sunday, Oct. 20 at the Waco Football Field. A hamburger/hot dog feed has been added to this year's event! Community Betterment Organization Meeting There will be a Community Betterment Organization (CBO) meeting on Monday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. at the east end of the Waco Community Building, located at 105 Strickler Street. Each person in the community offers a special skill or service. The CBO is open to new members, or individuals who would like to help with certain activities and projects throughout the year. Rotary Spaghetti Feed York Rotary will hold their annual local scholarship fundraiser Spaghetti Feed on Friday, Oct. 25 prior to the York vs. Scottsbluff football game at the Mackey Center across the street from East Hill Ballpark on the York University campus. Serving will take place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Voluntary donations will be taken for the meal with all proceeds going toward the local student scholarship programs. Carry out available. Community Sale A Community Sale will be held at the York City Auditorium on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. 12x12 area booths with three 8 foot tables will be available for $20. Booths must be reserved no later than Sunday, Oct. 6. If you don't want to bring unsold items home they can be left to be donated.
