Owensboro coffee shop expands with new west-side location

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) — After years of being in business, the owners of Red Swing Coffee have opened a new location on the west-side with a unique twist. This second location is also an event venue.

Husband-wife owners Brandon and Brittney Dukes opened their flagship store on downtown Owensboro's riverfront in 2022. Their new west-side location is at 2803 West Parrish Avenue.

After years of being in business, the Dukes tell us they had customers who have been craving their treats, but are unable to make a commute often due to their location. Brandon tells us, at this point, a second location was "inevitable."

"We knew if the downtown location was successful, there would be more to come," says Brandon.

The west side location opened on Monday which features the brand-new event venue, "The Acacia Room." The Dukes say this venue, which can seat up to 60 people, is a "perfect blend of style, elegance and functionality."

Brandon says naming the space after the tree was also a biblical reference.

"Acacia trees are strong sturdy and the Arc of the Covenant was made from acacia, and it seemed to just make sense," says Brandon.

The new location is opened on Monday through Saturday from 6:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m..
