Packers Injury Report: 7 limited, 3 out on Wednesday

The Green Bay Packers returned to the practice field on Wednesday as they get ready for the Houston Texans . The three players who left last week's action with injury, receiver Jayden Reed (ankle), receiver Dontayvion Wicks (shoulder) and center Josh Myers (undisclosed), all were limited participants in the team's first practice of the week.

After practice, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that Wicks "dodged a bullet" with his shoulder injury. At least as of now, the team seems optimistic that their team will be relatively healthy going into Sunday's game at Lambeau Field.

The limited participants in practice, beyond the three already mentioned, were receiver Christian Watson (ankle), tight end Tucker Kraft (groin), defensive tackle Kenny Clark (toe) and cornerback Jaire Alexander (groin). The non-participants today were offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins (knee), defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt (ankle) and defensive tackle Colby Wooden (undisclosed).

Wooden's injury is a bit of a mystery right now, as he was never given an injury designation during last week's win versus the Arizona Cardinals or leading up to the game. Wyatt has been unable to play since he went down against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4, leading to Wooden going from a healthy scratch to playing 49 snaps over the last two weeks.

If both Wyatt and Wooden are out, that leaves the Packers with just three healthy defensive tackles on their 53-man roster. They'll need to add another body there to play 60 minutes against Houston, as 330-pound defensive tackle T.J. Slaton has been on a significant pitch count throughout the season, whether Wyatt has been in the lineup or not.

One option here is Jonathan Ford, who started the season on the injured reserve and has been designated to return. Ford has been practicing with the team since Week 5 and is currently going through his 21-day window in which he's allowed to return to the team. If he isn't activated within that window, he'll revert back to the injured reserve for the remainder of the season.

Speaking of practice windows, third-round rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd is eligible to return to practice now, since his four weeks on the injured reserve have passed. He's also been designated to return. He wasn't on the practice field on Wednesday, signifying that his ankle injury will take a little longer to recover from. When asked about Lloyd's status, LaFleur said, "We'll see," if Lloyd returns to the practice field next week.
