Papa John's set to open in Metcalf Plaza

Sep. 21—ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP — Papa John's, a popular pizza chain, is opening inside Metcalf Plaza in November.

Nadeem Bajwa, Papa John's franchise owner and CEO of Bajco Group, said he is excited to open a location in Ashtabula Township.

"We're thrilled to bring Papa Johns to Ashtabula," he said. "Our goal is to provide residents with the same high-quality pizzas and sides that the brand is known for, while offering exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere."

He said they are in the process of getting permits approved for renovations.

"It takes two to three months, depending on what needs to be done," Bajwa said. "We felt the location would work well, because there is some new construction happening around that side. Opening there, by the Walmart, will bring a lot of walk-in traffic."

Ashtabula Township Trustee Joe Pete said he is glad it is coming to the area.

"It will be a great addition to an already thriving Ashtabula Township," he said.

Bajwa said they will be offering the standard Papa John's menu, which can be seen on their website.
