Parker Retzlaff wins qualifying for pole position in Saturday's NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Martinsville Speedway; Playoff drivers all start in top 12
Parker Retzlaff will roll off first for Saturday's NASCAR Xfinity Series National Debt Relief 250 at Martinsville Speedway.
Retzlaff won Saturday's qualifying with a best lap time of 19.901 seconds. He'll start on the front row next to Anthony Alfredo, who was second in qualifying with a lap time of 19.913.
Chandler Smith was the best finishing playoff driver in qualifying. He'll start third on Saturday, next to fellow playoff driver Jesse Love, who'll start fourth.
Other playoff drivers Justin Allgaier, Austin Hill, and Sammy Smith will start 5, 6, and 7. Cole Custer will start 10th, A.J. Allmendinger 11th, and Sam Mayer 12th.
Hill is the only playoff driver who has earned an automatic berth into the championship. The other seven will compete in Saturday for three open spots.
Saturday's race will begin at 4 p.m.
