Patriots vs. Bears Thursday injury report: Christian Elliss, Kyle Dugger remain sidelined for New England

The New England Patriots continued work on the Chicago Bears without two defensive starters.

Linebacker Christian Elliss and safety Kyle Dugger stayed sidelined in Foxborough on Thursday due to abdomen and ankle issues, respectively. But running back JaMycal Hasty returned after missing the initial practice of the week for personal reasons.

Here's the second injury report leading up to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff at Soldier Field.

The defensive captain has now been missing for back-to-back practices. He spent last week as a limited participant before going from questionable to inactive 90 minutes prior to kickoff. As for Elliss, the recent starting linebacker saw 58 percent of the defensive snaps against the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium after also being listed as questionable to play.

Each of whom had been in uniform for what became a 20-17 overtime loss in Nashville. It was a matchup that Roy and Mapu both exited due to neck ailments. The NFL sophomores at defensive tackle and safety both would return, however, finishing with a combined eight tackles.
