The New England Patriots are back from their bye week and head to the Meadowlands for a Week 12 matchup with the New York Giants .

While Mac Jones is expected to start at quarterback for New England, it’s reported that Bailey Zappe is likely to see time as well. As for the Giants, they will look for their second straight win with third-string QB Tommy DeVito under center.

First Quarter The Patriots won the toss and deferred, putting Tommy DeVito and the Giants on the field first. New York got on the move early, as a drive starting screen to Wan’Dale Robinson picked up six before Saquon Barkley took his first handoff of the day for 14. The following play, DeVito hit a wide open Jaylin Hyatt for 29 yards to move across midfield. Two plays later, however, a botched handoff on a jet sweep ended up on the ground which Jabrill Peppers recovered.

With Mac Jones drawing the start, New England kept the ball on the ground to set up an opening third-and-two. A delay of game moved the Patriots into a third-and-seven, where Jones’ pass to DeVante Parker was broken up.

Back with the ball, DeVito started with another completion downfield to Hyatt for 22 yards. New York then moved backwards as Peppers recorded a sack to help set up an eventual third-and-17, where DeVito’s pass was dropped short of the sticks.
