Patrol car rolls into Grand River while Lansing police chase suspect on foot

LANSING, MI - A patrol car from the Lansing Police Department ended up in the Grand River Saturday night while the officers were chasing a suspect on foot. According to WILX, the incident took place between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. in the area of Saginaw Street, across from Adado Riverfront Park. The officers said they got out of the vehicle to follow a suspect who was on a bike. While chasing the suspect, the patrol car rolled backward into the river. A dive team eventually recovered the vehicle and police were able to arrest the suspect. Police say no one was injured in the incident.
