Pecos County: What’s on your ballot?

PECOS COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- Election day is right around the corner, and on November 5th voters can head to the polls and cast their votes.

This year, election ballots for Pecos County will include federal, state, and local elections. Local elections for Pecos County will include County Attorney, Sheriff, County Tax-Assessor-Collector, County Commissioner for Precinct No. 1 and No. 3, Constable for Precinct No. 1, Precinct No. 3, and Precinct No. 6, as well as one proposal for Fort Stockton ISD and the Buena Vista school board trustee election.

Here's a look at what will be listed on your local Pecos County ballot:

Voters can vote for none, one, two, three, or four of the following candidates:

Fort Stockton Independent School District Proposition

Voters will choose either "For or "Against"

Proposition A: Ratifying the ad valorem tax rate of $1.04877 per $100 valuation in the Fort Stockton Independent School District for the current year, a rate that will result in an increase of 6.05418 percent in maintenance and operations tax revenue for the District for the current year as compared to the preceding year, which is an additional $1,006,252.
