PennDOT is offering the public the chance to weigh in on a project affecting the Parkway East. The transportation department said in a statement it will be holding an in-person public meeting Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. to discuss a feasibility study to look and improve the Interstate 376 Parkway East Bridge over Four Mile Run between Greenfield and South Oakland. The I-376 Parkway East Bridge over Four Mile Run Feasibility Study, according to the statement, involves the six-span bridge, which dates to 1951 and serves as a critical transportation link for I-376 traffic over CSX and Allegheny Valley Railroads, Frazier Street, Swinburne Street, Boundary Street, Four Mile Run Park, Schenley Park, and various bike and pedestrian trails.The statement further said the study aims to explore options to address the bridge's deficient conditions, while also balancing community, environmental, and traffic considerations.
